Abstract

Abstract. The article examines the views and practical activities of Metropolitan Andrei Sheptytsky and priest Tito Voynarovsky in the socio-economical sphere. In the context of this task, this publication shows that the Greek Catholic clergy, paying attention on the difficult economical situation of Ukrainian peasants and workers, offered effective ways to improve the people’s life. One of the important areas in their activity was assistance in the opening and cooperatives operation. It is emphasized that their work in this sphere is significant, and experience is especially valuable in modern conditions.
