Abstract

The article analyzes the negative impact of Russia’s military aggression on the business conditions affecting the operation of enterprises in the Ukrainian market, with the aim of identifying new directions of activity – crucial for preserving capacities and resources. Entrepreneurial sentiment and indicators of the economic environment influencing business activity were assessed based on official analytical studies. The article also examines the specific features of state support for businesses, implemented through tax and monetary policy instruments, although these measures have proven only partially effective. Regional disparities in how hostilities have altered the business environment for domestic enterprises are highlighted, particularly the negative effects on horizontal and vertical linkages between industries. The article identifies the key challenges faced by Ukrainian enterprises during wartime and offers recommendations to support Ukrainian business under current economic conditions.
